How to choose cleaning tools
Cleaning tools work best when they match the surface, the type of soil and the amount of storage available. A mop for tile is not automatically the best choice for sealed wood, and an abrasive cleaner should not be used on every finish.
What matters most
Surface compatibility. Match the tool to tile, wood, glass, porcelain or fabric, and test unfamiliar cleaners in a hidden area.Refills and replacements. A mop is more economical when compatible pads or heads are easy to obtain.Water control. Spray mops use less water; spin mops are useful when a deeper wash and rinse are needed.Reach and storage. Check handle length, head size and whether the tool folds or stands upright between uses.Cleaning after cleaning. Rinse and dry cloths, brushes and mop heads so odour and residue do not build up.
Our rangeThe cleaning range includes a stainless-steel squeegee, a silicone toilet brush, microfiber cloths, melamine sponges, a spin mop and a spray mop. Product pages list the pack size, dimensions and material.
Common questionsCan melamine sponges be used on every surface? No. Melamine is mildly abrasive and can dull some glossy or coated finishes. Test it on a hidden area first and avoid scrubbing delicate surfaces. How many microfiber cloths do I need?It depends on how often you clean and whether you separate cloths by room. A multi-pack lets you rotate cloths while others are washed and dried.
